Gatorade Commercial

Our commercial uses conventions to establish our main character as someone who strives to be the best in her league, we use this to shape how we think about a character in this certain event. When it comes to characters, conventions can easily turn into stereotypes. We wanted to avoid this by not establishing that this “the big game” and it’s all up to her to win. The audience may not be able to relate to that so we decided to have this event be only what it is, just another soccer game. Gatorade is an electrolyte replacement drink, the way that this commercial represents a group like athletes is that Gatorade's purpose in replacing electrolytes holds true for the particular needs of athletes.
